I am a mixed media artist who feels very lucky to reside in the beauty of Asheville, North Carolina.
It's bohemian spirit and energy inspires me. From my surroundings, I gather inspiration for my paintings and digital photography. Then I get to play and create.

Moody and mysterious, a bright moon sits above the horizon and among the trees.
Castle Window
I love architecture. I can see one of my favorite buildings in Asheville, while enjoying a meal at one of my favorite restaurants here. I've viewed it while it was raining, at dusk, with bright sunshine or a cold gray day and it always sparks my imagination.

The beauty and mystery of southern water systems, whether it be the rivers or lakes, captures my imagination. This image speaks of the mystery in the reflecting trees along the bank with deep moody colors.

Watchful Eye
Part of my Peacock series, this mod abstract combines a peacock feather and circles. The Peacock represents watchfulness and being able to see what is really there, as well as the circle of life and death.

Even when just taking in the flowers in Asheville, I see with them the funky, lively energy that makes up the spirit of this city.
Vision
A beautiful collage in the Peacock series. With a colorful victorian feel the symbolism of watchfulness is represented and the word "vision" subtley within.
Our inner vision is just as important as our physical sight, maybe even more so.
Warm and inspiring this piece encourages as well as brings beauty to the space it occupies.

I love downtown Asheville, with it's art deco architecture and fun spirit. This image captures how I feel while walking around,taking in the vibrant energy.
