Day 2: 8♦
Every time I draw this card, I have to laugh. Why?
- I draw it a LOT
- It’s my Jupiter card in my Birth card spread and my Saturn card in my Ruling card spread.
- Needless to say, I keep working with this card.
It’s about financial empowerment: the power to make money or have it when you need it.
Mmmm…sounds nice right?
I’m a 6 of clubs and that card is known as one of the fortunate life paths because the 8♦ is the Jupiter card. (Our Jupiter card speaks to our blessings in life and what things can bring us the greatest financial rewards. It can also point out a talent we have.)
Saturn is the opposite – while Jupiter is blessings and expansion, Saturn is challenges and restrictive. Our Saturn card speaks to where we will have some work to do in our lives. (see my conundrum?)
In the past, when I looked back on my life, I saw myself as someone who lived the majority of her life in poverty, or with financial struggles.
Now that I know myself better and have changed my perspectives, I see that yes, when I wanted something that was genuinely of my heart, all the money needed to get me there showed up (even when I was extremely poor!)
Yet, it is still a struggle for me at times because I immediately think: Ugh, wish I could do such and such, but I can’t until I have x amount of money (a very NON-abundant mindset!)
The flaw of the 6 of clubs person is to sit and wait for things they want to come to them (oh yes indeed!) BUT – the beauty of any 6 person is that is pretty much how our lives go – we want something and it seems to magically fall into our laps.
All of the 8 cards are about Power. The 8♦ isn’t just the power to make money, but the power of our values and what the money is for.
All of the 8 cards ask us to be CLEAR and FOCUSED on what it is we want – and WHY we want it.
THAT is the keystone to having abundance.
Don’t think x amount of money as the only way to get or have something.
This is what this card is asking me to include more of in my life – to be clear about and focused on outcomes.
*I want to add here that you might find yourself drawing the same card over…and over. I’ve had this happen even when I did the 52 card pick-up shuffle method -throwing all of them on the floor, mixing them up like crazy, then shuffling and re-drawing. Pay attention if you keep getting the same card – and look to see if it’s a card in your Birth card spread. (If you don’t know, go here to see what cards are in your Birth card spread)
