Facebook Status Story

At my Ash Joie Lee Facebook profile, I post an on-going story via my Facebook status every Wed & Sunday. The story will be kept here as well, adding the newest “block” as it goes up on Facebook.

Kye leaned back in his chair, and ran his thumb around the edge of the now brittle leather journal, its scribbled words like a curse cast on his soul.
Maureen grabbed his knee, slamming the chair legs down.
“It worked. She’s on her way to the Inn.” She smiled, deepening the dimple in her right cheek, emphasizing her green eyes, but Kye kept his focus on the journal. Maureen’s hand slid up his thigh. “You’ve come this far, now finish it.”

Once the journal revealed the truth behind his father’s death, Kye’s life shattered like the Pueblo pot he demolished. He wasn’t sleeping or working at The Healing Center, and now he was embarking on a gut-wrenching quest. “Trust me, once you confront the woman who did this, you’ll heal and be the man he wanted you to be,” Maureen said. She was older; an attractive, forty-something pit-bull. She’d been key in the search for the woman, their relationship leaping from co-workers, to lovers?
